Lucas Running to Jesus

A mother’s final words to her son, Lucas, included telling him to run to Jesus’s arms. I took images she provided and created this commemorative set of images where he was no long in his wheel chair but ran with open arms to meet Jesus. This really made the mother very happy. I was honored to be a part of it and hope that it heals a small piece of her heart every time she sees it.

Rocky now knows if Big Foot actually exists or not

One of the things that Rocky loved doing was watching shows about Big Foot. So I did this image shortly after his passing and it seemed to make the family happy. Like all the others, I hope this one brought a small piece of healing to those hurting hearts that miss him every day.

Happy Birthday even in the snow.

She really wanted to be at the beach enjoying some sun, but a rare snow storm hit the area instead, so I did this as a birthday animated card for her.

Artist Statement: AI, Photography & Professional Integrity

A Personal Note on Creativity, Technology & Caring for the Earth

I have spent most of my life working with and for the natural world.
Long before any of today’s modern tools existed, I was the kid rescuing animals, planting trees, wandering through forests with a camera, and doing whatever I could to protect the environment around me. Caring for nature, wildlife, and the health of our planet has never been a trend for me — it is simply who I am. A born tree-hugger at heart and always will be.

Over the years, our world has changed. Technology has become woven into nearly every part of daily life. From streaming and social media to GPS navigation, online banking, photography software, and creative tools used by artists and businesses alike — nearly everything we do now relies on digital infrastructure and data use. For most of us, completely avoiding that reality simply isn’t possible, nor is it realistic in a modern world where these tools help us live, work, and create.

Artists today, just like photographers for decades using editing software such as Adobe, rely on evolving creative tools to bring their work to life. Many of those tools now incorporate advanced technologies as part of their normal function. While we may not be able to remove ourselves entirely from digital consumption, we can choose to use it thoughtfully and responsibly.

I am continually looking for ways to reduce my own environmental footprint overall while still maintaining a practical, modern lifestyle and creative career. In my work, I use only the minimal level of data necessary — just as I always have — and remain mindful of how and when I use digital resources. It is an ongoing process of awareness and improvement, and one I take seriously.

The truth is, every one of us participates in data consumption each day. Whether we are streaming, scrolling on our phones, using GPS, sending emails, shopping online, or creating or consuming digital content, we are all part of this evolving world. Eliminating all impact entirely may not be possible for most people, but making conscious, responsible choices absolutely is.

We can all do something.
Use only what we need.
Avoid what we don’t whenever possible.
Support mindful innovation.
Spend more time reconnecting with the natural world we value so deeply.
Limit the amount of time we spend looking at screens.
Consider other ways we can reduce consumption, and reduce waste.

If each of us makes small, thoughtful adjustments where we can, the collective impact becomes powerful.

I remain committed to continually finding better, more sustainable ways to create, live, and work — and I encourage others to do the same in whatever ways are realistic and possible for them. Perfection isn’t required. Awareness and intention are what move us forward.

Together, in our own individual ways, we can help care for the world that inspires us all.
