My Artist Statement on AI & Visionary Art

As a professional photographer, I’ll be honest—I didn’t embrace AI right away.

At first, I was hesitant for a very real reason: I worried it would take away paying work from photographers. And the truth is… in some areas, it already has.

But over time, I reached a point where I could no longer deny something important.

When AI is used responsibly by a skilled artist, it doesn’t replace the artist—it extends them. It becomes another tool for expressing vision, meaning, emotion, and story… much like Photoshop, editing software, and digital tools did when they first entered the creative world.

And just like every tool before it, AI can be used in two very different ways:

  • Carelessly, which often results in sloppy, unprofessional work

  • Or with intention, education, and skill, where the end result reflects the artist behind it

That’s the approach I’m committed to.

I’m learning everything I possibly can about AI and digital creation, and I promise to use it with integrity—only to enhance and expand the visions I already carry as an artist. Not to cut corners. Not to mimic others. Not to create thoughtlessly. But to bring each piece of art to life with deeper clarity and fewer limitations than ever before.

This is why I now create both:

  • Fine Art Photography (captured through my camera and lens)

  • Visionary Art (my photography and creative concepts enhanced with advanced AI tools)

And I will always clearly label which is which.

If you connect with my work, please know this: whether it begins in the wild through my camera, or evolves through visionary creation, every final piece is still my eye, my imagination, and my intention—created to move you, inspire you, and invite you into something more.

I also offer Visionary Art commissions, created with your story, your ideas, and your vision in mind—crafted with the same care and professionalism I bring to all of my work.

Thank you for being here—and for supporting original art in every form even as it continues to evolve.

Below you will find a variety of my Photography, Visionary Art and then samples of projects I have done for other people and clients. I will continue to add stuff regularly to this page so be sure to check back often.
