Other events include dark-sky and light-pollution presentations, book signings, Caprice Garden picnics, community gatherings, seasonal workshops, and, of course, Autumn Jubilees. Each gathering grows from the same larger vision woven throughout my books and creative work: helping people reconnect with the Earth, one another, and the natural systems that sustain us.
My dark-sky presentations explore the importance of restoring the natural night for wildlife, human well-being, ecological balance, and our sense of wonder. Through fiction, photography, conversation, and shared experiences, these events invite people to consider what has been lost, what can still be protected, and how each of us can take part in restoring the living world.
I also offer speaking engagements and workshops focused on helping people begin creating a more restorative way of life right where they are. Topics may include growing food, supporting wildlife and pollinators, reducing waste, conserving water and energy, reconnecting with natural rhythms, and making practical changes that strengthen both personal well-being and the health of the Earth. The goal is not perfection or starting over, but helping people recognize the meaningful steps they can begin taking today.
