AN ANNUAL CELEBRATION CENTERED ON OCTOBER 17
Autumn Jubilee
A Celebration of Gratitude, Abundance, and Connection
Honoring the Earth, the harvest, one another, and the connections that give life meaning.
Autumn Jubilee is an annual celebration of the Earth and all that it provides. Centered on October 17, it is a time to gather with family, friends, and community, share the abundance of the harvest, reflect on our connection to the natural world, and celebrate the things that truly matter.
There are no required beliefs, ceremonies, or expectations. Whether you find spiritual meaning through God, the Creator, nature, or your own understanding of life, Autumn Jubilee welcomes you.
Celebrate on October 17 or choose a day within the surrounding week that works for you. What matters is not the exact date, but the gratitude, kindness, and connection we bring to the celebration.
Autumn Jubilee: From a Personal Tradition to the World of Caprice
Autumn Jubilee became such a meaningful part of my life that it naturally found its way into the world I created in my Journey to Caprice trilogy.
In Journey to Caprice, Autumn Jubilee is a celebration of community, abundance, and gratitude. Friends and neighbors gather to share the Earth's bounty, welcome one another, and express their appreciation for the extraordinary gift of life. It is a time when important connections are made, and the community's shared expression of gratitude becomes a particularly meaningful moment in the story.
In 8th Day: A New Beginning, Autumn Jubilee takes on new significance as people come together to rebuild their lives and rediscover what truly matters. The gathering reflects the importance of community, cooperation, and the thoughtful contributions of individuals working toward something greater than themselves.
By 1,000 Years in the Garden, the celebration continues as part of a world transformed through generations of restoration, compassion, and a renewed relationship with the Earth.
Although Autumn Jubilee appears throughout all three novels, it did not begin as fiction. It grew from a personal celebration of gratitude, spiritual connection, and the beauty of our living Earth.
My hope is that Autumn Jubilee will continue growing beyond the pages of my books, becoming a tradition that individuals, families, and communities can embrace in their own ways.
Because the spirit of Caprice doesn't have to remain within the pages of a novel. It can begin wherever people choose to live with greater gratitude, kindness, and connection to the Earth.
