Caprician New Earth Gardening Conversations

Where gardening becomes something bigger.

What if gardening could be more than growing food?

What if the garden could become a place where we rebuild our relationship with the land, restore habitat, strengthen our communities, become more resilient, and begin creating the kind of future we actually want to live in?

Welcome to Caprician New Earth Gardening Conversations.

This is where we continue the conversation beyond the garden gate.

Here you'll find stories, ideas, videos, interviews, demonstrations, workshop discussions, guest conversations, and practical explorations of what it means to create a more intentional relationship with the Earth.

Some conversations will begin with soil.

Others may begin with bees, birds, water, food, forests, wildlife, night skies, seeds, resilience, community, or a single question:

What can we restore right where we are?

This Isn't Just About Gardening

Caprician New Earth Gardening is about seeing the garden as part of a much larger living system, where everything is connected and every element plays a role. The vegetables we grow matter, but so do the pollinators visiting the flowers beside them, the rainwater falling from the greenhouse roof, the birds nesting nearby, and the soil beneath our feet. It includes the darkness that allows moths, bats, and other nighttime wildlife to thrive, the seeds we save, the food we share, and the knowledge we pass to someone else. It is also shaped by the small, intentional decisions that gradually help us become less dependent on systems that no longer serve people or the planet very well.

These conversations explore all of it.

You don't need acres of land or a big greenhouse. You don't need to already know how to garden.

You can begin with one container, one native flower, one tomato plant, one rain barrel, one patch of restored soil, or one new way of looking at the place you already call home.

For those who have already been gardening for a while, or have tried different methods and found that none of them quite offer a complete, one-size-fits-all answer, this space is also for you. Many people arrive here looking not for another system to follow, but for a more integrated way of seeing how everything connects—soil, water, plants, wildlife, food, and the wider living landscape.

You begin where you are.

Monthly Caprician New Earth Gatherings

Some things are better explored together.

Our monthly gatherings are a place for gardeners, nature lovers, sustainability enthusiasts, growers, photographers, homesteaders, wildlife advocates, curious beginners, and anyone looking for a different way forward to come together.

These aren't lectures where someone at the front of the room has all the answers.

They are conversations.

We talk about what people are growing, restoring, experimenting with, learning, and struggling with.

We explore practical projects that can be started at home.

We share ideas.

We ask questions.

And most importantly, we begin connecting people who believe that meaningful change can start locally, one garden and one piece of land at a time.

Workshops & New Earth Gardening Events

Sometimes a conversation needs to become an experience.

Caprician New Earth Gardening workshops take the ideas we discuss here and put them into practice.

Depending on the event, we may explore regenerative gardening, soil building, water systems, growing food, seed saving, pollinator habitat, wildlife-friendly landscapes, garden planning, microgreens, sustainability, dark-sky practices, food resilience, photography, or the process of turning an ordinary property into a thriving interconnected ecosystem.

These workshops are designed for real people with real homes, real budgets, real schedules, and very different amounts of available space.

You don't need to transform everything at once.

You simply need somewhere to begin.

Conversations With People Doing the Work

New Earth Gardening doesn't belong to one person.

That's why you'll also find conversations with gardeners, growers, environmental advocates, authors, educators, innovators, wildlife experts, sustainability leaders, and people finding creative ways to restore their own corner of the world.

Some will join us through interviews.

Some will participate in workshops or summits.

Others may simply share something they discovered while doing the work themselves.

The goal isn't to create another collection of experts telling everyone else what to do.

It's to create a growing library of ideas that helps all of us see what is possible.

From Our Garden to Yours

Many of these conversations begin with something we are actually doing ourselves.

As a growing community, we experiment, grow things, and adjust our plans as we go. We restore areas, build habitat, make mistakes, observe what happens, and then share what we learn.

You may see conversations from the greenhouse, vegetable garden, orchard, wildlife areas, bird sanctuary, pollinator gardens, water systems, or other projects as they develop.

This isn't a picture of a perfect finished garden.

It's the story of building one.

That distinction matters.

Because creating something meaningful rarely happens all at once.

It happens one project, one season, and one decision at a time.

Read. Watch. Listen. Explore.

New conversations will continue to appear here in many forms.

You may find a written reflection from the garden one week and a conversation with a guest the next.

You may join us for a workshop discussion, watch a demonstration, explore an ecological restoration project, meet someone doing fascinating work, or discover an idea that changes how you look at your own backyard.

Follow the conversations that interest you.

Ignore the ones that don't.

And when something speaks to you, try it.

That is how this becomes more than something we simply talk about.

Go Deeper With Caprician Guide to New Earth Gardening: From Root to Soul

The conversations on this page are part of a much larger journey.

Caprician Guide to New Earth Gardening: From Root to Soul brings the pieces together into an intentional whole-system approach to creating a garden that nourishes people while also supporting soil, water, wildlife, pollinators, resilience, beauty, and the living world around us.

It isn't about creating the perfect garden.

It is about understanding how the pieces connect and intentionally building your own version over time.

Start with one plant if that's where you are.

Dream about the larger garden.

Then build it one piece at a time.

Looking for Caprice?

Maybe that’s what brought you here, not simply gardening, and not simply sustainability, but something harder to put into words. A feeling that life could be lived differently. A quiet pull toward spending more time connected to the natural world, toward a deeper sense of community, and toward a way of living that feels more intentional and alive.

Perhaps it’s also a sense that the places around us could become healthier, more beautiful, more abundant, and more alive than they are right now.

In the Caprician books, Caprice represents that possibility.

But you don’t have to wait for someone else to build it. You can begin creating a piece of it yourself, right where you are.

Plant something. Restore something. Protect something. Grow something. Teach something. Invite someone else into the conversation.

Restore your piece.

And then let’s see what happens when all of those pieces begin connecting.

Come Be Part of It

You don’t have to call yourself a gardener, and you don’t have to be an expert or have everything figured out before you begin.

If you care about the Earth, wildlife, food, community, sustainability, resilience, or simply creating a more beautiful and meaningful way of living, there is a place for you in this conversation.

You can start by reading the stories, watching the conversations, or simply following along as ideas unfold. When you’re ready, you might come to a gathering, attend a workshop, or explore the books in more depth. And if something inspires you, try it at home in your own way, at your own pace.

Most importantly, bring your own ideas with you. This is not a finished system to step into, but a living conversation that grows through participation.

Because New Earth Gardening was never meant to be something you simply read about.

It is something we create.
